Third visit to the gym. Jumped on the elliptical machine for 40 minutes. Warmed up at resistance level 5 for 3 minutes, then went up to 20, 5, 20, 5, 20, 5, 20, then 6, 20, 6, 20, 6, 20, 6 for 2 minutes, 20 for 2 minutes, 6 for 2 minutes, 20 for 2 minutes, 6, 9, 6, 9, 6, 9, 6, 9 and keep doing it (if you know what I mean) until I cooled of 2 minutes at the end of the workout at resistance level 5 again.
Then did some moderate intensity leg workouts.
Anyway, there’s an upcoming party this Saturday, in celebration of our new Spring semester and the upcoming Valentine’s day. Just like any Indo party in the west coast, there will be Indonesians jam-packed all over the place. I’ve left behind all the drama years ago. But one thing I really miss is dance your heart out, on the sofa or on the stage. If it’s good music, move. I really do miss clubbing just because of all the dancing.
There’s also an upcoming party I’m invited to by Kuta Entertainment. It will be their first party in SF – they’re based in LA. One of the hosts is my friend, the one who invited me, and another friend’s going to spin this time round, and girls’ entries are for free, so I’m actually thinking of going… These people keep pestering me like never before. I mean, it’s been over 3 to 4 years since I’ve closed myself off from any huge social events (in which dramas would happen). But I do miss clubbing though. I think I need one to cure my dry spell. Every once in a while you need to blow off the steam.
And I usually do it without alcohol.
It kind of hit my relationship too. I mean, long distance is hard and blah, blah, blah. That’s what they keep saying and what we’re always complaining about. But what can you do? From the first place I’m not exactly ready for a relationship, much less in a long distance relationship. I know I’m going to purchase a one-way ticket back to Jakarta in 6 months, but still, you’ll hit that dry spell, and that’s usually when the guy and/or the gal is about to cheat on someone else or just flirt innocently. I think I need that. Flirting is healthy. In the end you’ll always find ways to come back to your partner because you’ve got all the more comparisons plus plenty of other reasons to stick with ‘em.
I have no idea what I’m talking about.
To sum up my post: I hit the gym. I want to go clubbing. I am under a dry spell. I need to cheer up, dress up, and have fun shopping high heels and putting on makeup and go out dancing like I used to. I’m seriously concerned about my health! I don’t want to go back to a year of no menstruation again! (with PMS all throughout the year).
Muchaluva,
Stace
