This is a charcoal drawing of a plain ‘ol drapery hung on my wall.
As simple as it sounds, staring at the modest cloth for hours on end did make me look like an idiot in front of my roomies.
Basically, the assignment was meant for us to understand the nature of form. So far in class, we’ve learned to spot the core shadows and the cast shadows whenever we’re studying objects under a single-light source. It’s fascinating, the way nature works.
